( s o o n ) gallery presents ‘a line is a line is a line’, a new solo exhibition by Brussels-based artist Kato Six. Working across drawing, sculpture, tapestry and installation, Six explores how forms shift between abstraction and recognition, and how meaning emerges through the act of looking. Lines extend beyond the page, everyday materials are put to unexpected use, and familiar forms become something less easily defined. Moving between the visual language of art, the techniques of craft and the logic of the functional object, her practice questions the distinctions we make between them, opening up space for ambiguity, association and new ways of seeing.
